For many years, I was a photographer. I didn’t do weddings. Or babies. Or pets. What I enjoyed was the narrative element of making images for the book publishing market, finding my work on books published around the world.
And because I’m a keen gardener, I also got a buzz from floral photography. The more extreme the close-up, and the colour, the better. Even to the extent of creating images from a defocused macro view, exploring the effect of colour on a persons mood and emphasising the bokeh. Which is probably how I came to appreciate and enjoy abstract art.
Many of my images, floral and non-floral, are also available for sale as pictures for framing and for interior design.
